Why Support Travel the Road?

The mission of Travel the Road is to preach the gospel to the unreached and encourage the church to be active in the great commission. To accomplish this we believe the most effective way is to, emphasize the message of missions, and pour our resources into the intangible assets that will have eternal value. So what does that look like?

Media, which by definition is a means of mass communication, has been with us since the dawn of time. From the early ages of man, humans have been sending mass messages.

Ancient warriors would use smoke signals to beckon their clans to war. Kings sent proclamations through out the lands informing their subjects about laws, or warnings of God spoke unto Moses, who in turn delivered the message to the peoples of Israel. Even the gospels themselves were written for the purpose that all mankind might know the glorious redemption found in Christ Jesus. In fact, media some how got you to this website now and reading this text, so you see, media has a way of reaching out and connecting people.

 

Now, in modern times, we live in a society that receives an influx of media never seen before in history. Television, Film, Newspapers, Books, Internet and cell phones are just a few means that deliver mass messaging to billions of people worldwide. And the importance of using media today, to preach the gospel and encourage believers, has never been more significant in recent times. This is why we created Travel the Road!

The ministry of Travel the Road is a response to the call of Mark 16:15, to ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel’ and we want to see others respond to this call in a radical way.
