Rodney Johnson, a 31 year-old from Hermosa Beach, CA, joins Tim and Will in Laos with a small missionary team. He's always enjoyed traveling, and loves to experience local cultures first-hand. He learned the value of serving others while still in high school, and went on his first overseas missions trip with Al Scott (Tim and Mike's father). They went to Malaysia to visit some missionary friends, and Rodney had a blast. While Laos wasn't the only mission trip he'd been on, it was by far the most demanding. Sick the entire time, his main focus was on survival. Rodney has always believed that more missionaries are needed, and Laos just reemphasized that. After his experience with Tim and Will, the realities of what it takes to be a missionary were imprinted on his mind. He sees his purpose as a supporter of missionaries. His vision is to do this in new ways that haven't been thought of yet.
