Tsunami
As we wait for our VISAS for Darfur we now are in Malaysia and will be traveling to Banda Aceh in the next few days. On the 7th of March we travel back to Kenya and then move into Darfur for a final push before we journey home. "Home," it seems strange to say that.

Update on the Sudanese "Returnees"
The letter below was sent to us by a dear friend we met when we first visited the returnees camp near Maridi, in a place called Ibba. The camp was horrible when we visited and we are happy to hear help is being brought.
Hello Will and Tim.
Good to hear from you. I have just arrived Denmark after 3 weeks in Sudan.
This time I had the possibility to go to Ibba and see 5 different
returnee's camps. Your visit has really made the different. They have
gotten food and even borehols with good water now. But they still looked
misarable. I talked to everybody and I have donated a lot of money from
the Danish Pentecostales. Momo Daniel and I agreed that he should by them
some tools to dig latrins and mosquito nets and blankets. These were the
main needs as they told us. UN has given and is still giving food, so
thanks to God and to you. I went to the same camp as you did as well, and
they were all OK, I mean after the circumstanses.
I was together with James Wio, if you can remember him, the saved
witchdoctor. I can tell you that he is doing absolutely well, and he had
prayed for a girl that was dead and she rose again from the death. I went
with him to the family and interviewed them all. He also prayed with a
blind old lady who had her sight again. This is in Maridi. Isn't it
wonderful? James was so humble and really wants to pray for a lot of need
and reviel the power of God.
I am going to Bar el Gahsal in April. Leif wanted me to see the work even
there, and I am going to have seminars at the Bibleschool and travel
around in the aerea.
Per's trip went well too. He was in Garissa first and then went to
Haragesa. That was a revelation for him. He said it was as if you went
directly into a wall of darkness. The atmosphere was very depressing and
heavy. He had a guard with him all the time, but made a good reportage of
it all.
Well, we'll stay in contact, and God bless you so much.
Love Solfrid

The Return
Found ourselves back in Loki, Kenya. Water...finally water! We are so thirsty for clean water! My eyes are still blood-shot and dry from the lack of hydration. The tribes we traveled to are some of the most remote tribes left on this planet and praise God they heard the Gospel...and believed.

Priestly Affair
After another two days of hard travel we drove Philip back to his home and said our goodbyes. We were gonna miss Philip, but he had business to attend to and two wives to calm down. We holed up in Narus for two days. Godfrey siphoned the diesel from the 220-liter drum by sucking on a hose until the gas filtered down. It took him about 15 failed attempts and mouthfuls of diesel before it finally flowed down. I wanted to heave just watching him do it. We stayed at a Catholic mission and there were some Argentinean priests just arriving from Boma, our next destination. The priests were all very kind hearted and more than willing to tell us everything about the road to Boma. As we ate it was funny to hear them address each other as, “Father”. “Father could you pass the rice”
“Certainly Father.” Came the reply. Some things just hit you as comedy and this was one of them. The priest also drank beer like they were in a pub rather than a convent. The nuns at the table would glare at them, and upon feeling the judging eyes of the sisters one of the husky priests responded, “Don’t look at me that way.” One of the nuns rebuffed her eyes and retorted, “What way? I wasn’t saying anything.” This too was like dinner theater and I had to duck my head into my chest to hide my grins. Godfrey and Will had wide smiles that told me we would all be laughing about this long after dinner was done. The priests were hard working and would take no judgment upon themselves from others for drinking beer. Looking at the situation it seem to cause friction in, a convent of all places, and it probably would have been best if they didn’t drink at the table. Offend no one if possible would have been a better creed. But we enjoyed the priests and the nuns, and upon leaving we looked forward to seeing them upon our return.
