Hunters in Borneo
We are back from the Bush,
and what a great time we had. We ministered to the Penan, hunted and killed a bat, mouse deer, and a monkey.
We had cooked monkey. The Lord opened to us an effective door of ministry in the bush and we got tore up. Leeches were 10 times worse than Laos and the hiking was a nightmare. We walk through a logging encampment that was cutting the forest down and shot some great footage. The Penan received us in like brothers and the Kalibit people didn't want us to leave. The area was mostly Christian, but the nomad Penans are still animist. We hunted every night and spent most of our time in the jungle because it was cooler. Will and I feel a lot better now that we are back on our game, and God is leading us in great directions. We got into Miri last night and rested in a 50 RM hotel that has good beds and great hot water. Our next play is for Koh Phi Phi and 10-12 days of rest; we will break on the beaches of Thailand. Our next push after the white sands of Koh Phi Phi is China and then Mongolia, and then Russia. Right now we are nursing our wounds and trying to book a flight back to Kuala Lumpur. A quick run down of the highlights of our bush journey, 1 week hiking to Pa Tik, hunted for food many animals, watched a buffalo get decapitated, helped stone working children by buy shoes to work the mines,
prayed for many Penan nomads (one couple walk a long distance upon hearing missionaries were in the area, and they sought prayer for healing.), we have taken now just three hot showers and the rest with a bucket, received great revelation from the Lord and are ready for our next move north.

Praying for Open Door in Borneo
We are in Miri, a little city near Brunei. Nice place, modern, Mcd's, and good chicken and rice on the streets. Monday we are flying to Bario and then pushing across the border to INDO so we will be under for about two weeks. It is a bit expensive here, and we are probably going to fly from Brunei to Bangkok after Sipidan, so that will save some coin. We stayed at the Angelican guesthouse in Kuching, which was nice only 23 RM. Then some aid workers took us to Pizza Hut. We are going to SIB church tomorrow, but we should have no trouble up in Bario for contacts. It is a hill station and cold. Siberia training. Praying for a door of ministry will be opened to us.

Move toward Borneo
Tomorrow we are leaving for Kuching on the Borneo side and then we will be making a push for the jungle areas. We will be out of contact for a while from the outside world.

In Malaysia
Well we are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today and we will be going into town to buy tickets for Borneo and then off to dinner. We slept on a mat last. It doesn't feel like we have even left the states yet. I feel like we are ready for a tough push to Borneo. I don't have that shocked sensation like I had on my first two trips, like we were going somewhere wild, but I guess that is because we started in Pakistan and PNG the other two times. We are having a dinner function tonight
and I am sure Durian will be served, so I will stuff my face with that green smelly fruit and smile big.

Beginning of the Journey
Today is the beginning of our third journey. We flew out of LA and made it into KL after a stopover in Osaka. We just got in an hour ago and we are tired. Going to try and get tickets for Borneo tomorrow, but I will have more time to write then. My voice went out right before I left and my voice is still bad, but I am healed.
